Two Wrecks End LaJoie's Strong Run at Richmond
April 28th, 2013 - The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East headed to Richmond International Raceway (VA) on Thursday, April 25th, for the "Blue Ox 100" event. After qualifying the No. 07 Sims Metal Management Ford in the second position, LaJoie continued to track in second until just past halfway when he made a bid for the lead, but contact forced him spinning and into the wall.
Restarting from the back of the pack, LaJoie was working his way back forward when a driver didn't come up to speed on a restart, causing a multi-car pile-up. LaJoie was involved, damaging his car too much to continue. He was credited with a 31st-place finish.
